Bus operator Carbridge is using the Optare Tempo for a ten minute shuttle between the long-term carpark and the airport terminals, and with three doors, the Tempo is ideal for loading and unloading passengers rapidly.

The Tempo runs on a 280hp, six cylinder Mercedes-Benz engine with a five speed Allison transmission. Despite there not being much room on the shuttle route for the bus to be pushed to its limits, the Tempo showed strong acceleration.

Steve also chats to Carbridge general manager Luke Tood to see why and how they decided on the Tempo as their bus of choice.
