Tyres4U have held the grand opening of its energy-efficient new warehouse, and brought along comedian Vince Sorrenti and racing legend Allan Moffat to host the event.
Situated in Keysborough, Victoria, the 10,000 square metres Tyres4U warehouse takes advantage of a variety of design strategies with the aim of increasing energy efficiency.
These include features such as solar hot water panels, translucent roof sheeting, and a highly efficient lighting design that operates on daylight and motion sensing.
Tyres4U say that by making the investment in sustainable building practises it has reduced its electricity bill by 40% in comparison to its previous facility. The Tyres4U facility has an enourmous amount of floor space, and is packed to the brim with various brands of tyres, wheels and tubes.
Vince Sorrenti was a hit at the grand opening, and began his routine by cheekily noting that the function was occurring a mere couple of years after the actual opening of the facility.
Tyres4U import and distribute a large variety of truck and bus tyre brands, including Bridgestone, GT Radial, and Doublecoin.
