New GSX seat range from CVG at 2015 BTS

Commercial Vehicle Group will showcase its seat offerings including the improved GSX range

International manufacturer Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) is looking to show off its new GSX seat range at the Brisbane Truck Show in May, alongside a display of its current line-up.

Aiming to reduce whole body vibration by 70 per cent, the GSX range is able to adjust automatically to accommodate a wide range of body weights in the truck and bus driving industry.

“The GSX air-ride seats feature a three-point integrated seat belt and an air dump valve to lower the seat and make climbing in and out safer and easier,” the company says.  “It also features an isolator and new ride positioning system, which automatically adjusts the seat’s suspension according to the driver’s body weight within a weight range of 50-150kg. The driver can then manually adjust the seat to their preferred ride height.”

The company says a number of optional extras are available with the redesigned GSX, including armrests and a custom trim for the driver’s seat, and additional lumbar support and armrests for the passenger seat.

“We stand by this product and have endeavoured to produce the best possible product we can,” CVG Australia managing director, Bill Fraser, says.

The GSX, and accompanying passenger seat, has been tested in Australian conditions, comes with a 12-month warranty and, according to CVG, is M3 approved and meets ADR legislation.

The Brisbane Truck Show runs from May 14 – 17 at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre.
