The 1000th Fuso is a new Canter fitted with a curtainsider body, a very popular model in the Hertz rental fleet.
This model was recently updated with a new exterior design that includes 30 per cent brighter LED headlights and an upgraded multimedia unit.
Daimler Truck Australia sales and marketing Vice President Andrew Assimo congratulates Australia Truck and 4WD Rentals on its milestone.
“Taking delivery of 1000 Fuso trucks is an awesome achievement and we are thrilled to have such a great relationship with the team at Australia Truck and 4WD Rentals,” he says.
“They are committed to giving their customers the safest trucks with the latest technology, so it makes sense that they choose Fuso.”
Last week, the Fuso Adelaide branch manager Darren Calvert, handed over the keys to the special Fuso to Australia Truck and Bus Rentals Hertz Fleet Manager, Luke Gould.
Gould says the company is very happy with the Fuso product and the support from the dealership network and Daimler Truck head office.
“The Fuso products have all the features our customers need, and we really like the fact they come with inbuilt safety features. The fact they are so easy to drive is also a big plus,” he says.
“Fuso trucks have long service intervals, which is great for us, and we appreciate the warranty and servicing support.’
The Australian Truck and Bus Rentals now has 20 Hertz locations across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, buying their first Fuso back in 2001.
Its fleet now boasts 350 trucks and includes Canter, Fighter and Shogun trucks as the small Rosa bus.
