ATA’s Safety Truck Back on the Road

After an extensive upgrade, the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) will take their mobile truck safety exhibition on the road, educating the community on key safety issues related to the trucking industry.

The ATA media release says that the Safety Truck is “able to turn negative stereotypes into positive community messages that address key issues identified by government and progress the ATA’s strategic goals in areas of safety education and industry image.”

The Safety Truck complements established road safety education programs in an attempt to ensure that young Australian drivers know how to correctly share the road with trucks.

As part of this, they have also released an updated version of their Truckies Top Tips flyer, shown below.Truckies Top Tips

The ATA say that with help from local trucking operators, students will be able to check out the inside of a truck cab, “and concurrently generate interest and exposure for local industry career opportunities.”

The ATA says that donations made towards keeping Safety Truck on the road will result in “better educated car drivers and fewer accidents between cars and trucks.”
