With 22 degree weather expected to beam down, 0rganiser Daniel Williams is expecting a record-breaking number of trucks.

“It will only be our second year running the event, but we are definitely expecting around 150 trucks,” he says.

The inaugural show exceeded expectations last year, with 110 trucks rocking up to support the community.

“We were very happy with those numbers and hope to exceed them this year.”

Raising money for the Volunteer Emergency Services of the Colac Community, Daniel says they are all about the community.

“Getting another event in our local community for everyone is important. Something for people to be a part of and really enjoy.”

“The effects of COVID meant events were few and far between for the community. It’ll be nice to get out and about to support our local volunteer emergency services.”

Daniel says they are expecting a wide variety of makes and models, but is especially keen for a display from Land Transport.

“They will be bringing down one of their road train setups,” he says.

“It is a tribute to one of the families younger sister. They did a trucking tribute for her.

“It’s a really awesome setup and we are really excited to have that on display.”

With trucks and utes as the centrepiece to the event, the show will see them all duking it out for trophies.

“We’ve got 15 categories for the trucks, nine for the utes.”

“We have also got a best fleet category for the trucks as well, if you’ve got three or more trucks entered.”

If trucks and utes aren’t your thing or your family needs another distraction, Colac will have you covered.

Introducing a tarping competition and tug of war, organisers urge yoy to get your mates involved in some team sport.

For the little ones, jumping castles, face painting, mini train rides and mini golf will be keeping them occupied all day.

Admission for the event will be adults $10, concession/pension $5, 12-18 years $5, children under 12 free and families (2 adults & 2 children) $20.
