Daimler orders Fuso Shogun models recall

A number of new Fuso Shogun models have had to be recalled due to lamp activation defects.

Vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck Australia has issued a recall for a number of its Fuso Shogun models.

Due to improper programming of the vehicle’s trailer connection electrical control unit, the hazard lamps, reverse lamps and backup alarm may activate when the lamps are not activated.

This may impact the safety of other traffic increasing the risk of an accident causing serious injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The affected models include 2021-2022 the Fuso Shogun FP74, FS72, FS76, FV70 and FV74.

Daimler recommends affected Shogun owners to contact their Daimler, Fuso or Mitsubishi dealer to have the work carried out free of charge.
