For Perth specifically, this was their third year in a row where the Camp Quality Convoy event smashed its fundraising target.
“We’ve now raised more than $1 million across the three events,” Camp Quality chief commercial officer Sandie Hall says.
“The success of the Convoy is a testament to the incredible trucking community in Perth.”
This year’s convoy didn’t just deliver smiling kids and happy truck lovers, it smashed goals.
With donations still trickling in, the total amount raised sits at $412,000, well past the $400,000 target, making Convoy Perth one of the most successful community-driven fundraisers in the state.
Korey Lee was a huge contributor to the convoy, raising $49,200, and earning the honouring title of ‘Lead Truck’ as a result.

And what a celebration it was. Along the route, hundreds lined the streets waving signs and cheering as 220 shiny rigs passed through noisily.
While at the Family Festival, more than 1,000 people poured in to enjoy the day and make a positive contribution to the fight against kids facing cancer.
Not only were the sounds of revving truck engines and blaring horns filling Perth with life, but the Go-Karts and music definitely contributed to the noise.
Kids raced from face painting to carnival rides, to a VR truck experience to the Camp Quality mascot ‘Giggle’, while truckies proudly showed off their polished rigs at the Show and Shine.
“All of the truckies put in so much effort to immaculately present their trucks for the event. Some had decorated their trucks with Camp Quality logos, or had local primary schools provide artwork for their trucks,” Sandie says.
“We had trucks that were historic, vintage and even some themed after famous characters like Wolverine.
“It was an incredibly diverse group, and our participants loved them all.”
For Camp Quality’s team, it was a day that meant everything.
Sandie says Convoy Perth is quite the special day for the team.

“It’s the culmination of months of planning and the incredible efforts of Camp Quality staff and volunteers, who come together to deliver a safe and fun day,” she says.
Humbled by the warmth and generosity of the trucking community, Sandie says it’s a joy to see the kids and families getting involved, and see them smile as the trucks roll by.
“It reminds us why we do what we do,” she says. “Convoy Perth was a day filled with heart, hope and community. It’s just so special to see the WA trucking community come together in support of the kids and families and watch all the months of their fundraising efforts being celebrated.”
Sandie wants to express her thanks for the support of the participants, sponsors, event delivery partners, volunteers, donors and families that attended.
“This year we also welcomed our first ever Platinum Sponsor for this event, Baaz Heavy Towing,” she says.
“The funds raised will allow Camp Quality to support families across Western Australia impacted by cancer, through our hospital programs, camps, Family Fun Days, Family Getaways and Cancer Education Program.”
From tough, modern workhorses to nostalgic classics, every dollar raised at the Convoy goes toward an important cause.
