Athol Carter is the second winner to attend Cummins Trucking Australia 2013

Athol Carter is the second round winner of the Cummins hosted delegate promotion.

Athol Carter of Ostwald Bros Transport is already a veteran of the Australian trucking industry at the age of 30. He spent 12 years as a professional driver before moving into transport operations.

Like other industry leaders, Athol will be at Trucking Australia 2013 at Hamilton Island on 21-22 June, and is looking forward to sharing his views and experiences, particularly with regard to the growing freight task and staff shortages.

“We not only have to look beyond traditional sources of workers, but also develop and change our existing staff culture to attract and retain the right candidates,” he said.

“I’d encourage people who have real life experience in our industry to come along to Trucking Australia 2013. We need to share our views on what our industry goals should be, and work out how we will achieve them.”
