Western Star Trucks Australia partners with V8 Supercar team Erebus Motorsport as ‘official transporter’ of the team
Western Star Trucks Australia has partnered with V8 Supercar team Erebus Motorsport as the ‘official transporter’ of the team.
Formerly Stone Brothers Racing, Erebus Motorsport took over the team earlier in the year and will introduce three Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG cars to the V8 Supercar Series.
Two Western Star 4800FXB prime movers with B-double trailers will have the task of transporting more than 100 tonnes of cars and equipment to race events around Australia.
General Manager Marketing Don Hanson says Western Star is delighted with the new partnership with Erebus Motorsport.
“Our company has enjoyed a very good relationship with Stone Brothers Racing,” he says.
“We have worked with the team for many years and welcome the transition to Erebus – and are excited to see the new Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG cars on track.”
Erebus Motorsport V8 CEO Ryan Maddison adds that: “In 2013 the Erebus Motorsport V8 team will travel over 60,000km across Australia. With Western Star prime movers transporting our equipment we can be confident that it will arrive at events safely and on time.
