A recall notice has been issued by Daimler Truck Australia for five units of the 2025 to 2026 Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs, within the Actros 963, Arocs 964 variants.

Some steering parts such as the tie rod and drag link, may not have been properly hardened during manufacturing. This could cause cracking or fracturing particularly during low-speed manoeuvres and may lead to a loss of steering control.
A sudden loss of steering control while driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.
When parts become available, owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Daimler Truck asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the rectification carried out, free of charge.In the meantime, if the driver notices unusual steering response or noises, the vehicle must be safely parked and contact the nearest authorised dealership immediately.
