Due to a manufacturing defect, the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) may not operate as intended and could remain partially engaged while driving. If this occurs, it could overheat leading to a vehicle fire.
Note that if this does occur, a EPB orange warning lights alert will illuminate on the instrument cluster.
The vehicle fire can potentially cause serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders, and damage to property.
Daimler Truck will contact owners of affected vehicles, asking them to book an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the rectification carried out, free of charge.
