ATA opens registrations for Trucking Australia 2016

Tickets to the industry event in July are now available

The Australian Trucking Association has announced registrations are now open for its Trucking Australia 2016 event in June next year.

The industry body says the Gold Coast event allows operators to have their input in the trucking industry’s plans and priorities concerning a range of issues such as red tape and regulation.

“Every member of our industry is invited to have their say at Trucking Australia 2016, where you will help develop industry action plans for the big issues facing trucking,” ATA chief executive Christopher Melham says.

“Delegates can add directly to the plans through on-floor discussions, surveys, and real-time social media feeds.

“These action plans are then fed into the ATA’s strategic plan, which determines how the ATA tackles these issues in our industry.”

To be held at the Sea World Resort from Thursday, June 23 to Saturday, June 25, the ATA says the event can also provide a greater insight into an attendees’ business too.

“Trucking Australia is about getting better results for your operations, too,” Melham says.

“You’ll take away valuable insights and training to apply directly in your own business, with a business contracts masterclass and the MTData Business lunch.

“It’s also a great opportunity to network and reconnect with trucking industry peers across Australia, with the opening night Auction Dinner at Warner Bros Movie World, the MTData business lunch, the BPW Transpec Dinner and the Kenworth Legends Luncheon.

“It all culminates in the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Awards Dinner on the Saturday night, where we announce the winners of the 2016 National Trucking Industry Awards and celebrate their achievements.”

The ATA says a full delegate registration is $495.
