The big Mack is put to work as a triple road train for Road Trains of Australia (RTA), a gig that sees Richard carting livestock all over the country.
Richard says he’s enjoying the Titan, which he’s only been driving this season.
“I was in a different Mack last season but this one is really good,” he said.
Kicking off his trucking career at age 16, Richard now has 27 years’ experience under his belt.
“I’ve pretty much always done livestock, I’m happy in that industry.
“If you do something long enough, you get good at it.”
Richard says the toughest part of the job is time away from home, explaining that he spent eight months on the road last year.
The variety keeps the job exciting according to Richard, but his favourite part of the job is one we can all agree on!
“My favourite part of the job is pay day (laughs).”
