A brave truckie and his son are the stars of a viral video showing them taking the fight to an armed robber at the Yaraville 7-Eleven.
At around 2am March 16 the offender allegedly ram-raided the service station, entering carrying a sledge hammer.
Footage obtained by 7 News shows the offender enter, shortly followed by a truck driver and his son who had witnessed the ram-raid.
The truck driver, known only as Peter, confronted the offender with a crow bar.
Police then chased the offender on foot and Peter and his son got into a police car and followed.
“Every time I hit him he was just laughing at me,” Peter told radio station 3AW in an interview.
“He was like a machine.”
