LOWRIDER: The driver’s dream

More than 6,000 hours of work and countless dollars went into building 'Lowrider' the world's wildest Benz.

Finnish operator Miks Auvinen devised what he thinks might just be the best way to keep good drivers in the seat – a highly-customised 625HP Actros 2663

He decided to convert the Benz truck with two silo trailers into a unique driver’s dream alongside his driver Arto Simola, who has been driving for the family-run company Kuljetus Auvinen for three years.

The company is based in Helsinki and specialises in silo transportation, putting this incredible show truck to work!

Managing director Mika Auvinen is known throughout Finland and beyond for his passion for show trucks and Lowrider has taken out seven awards across Finland and Sweden so far.

From the initial planning to the first test drive, Lowrider took just under a year to build and cost around 450,000 euros ($703,000 AUD) to create.

But for Arto Simola reckons the real value of the purple show stopper is sitting in the purple velvet cab knowing he’s got one of the swankiest workplaces in the world!
