Latest DAF construction trucks in the spotlight at Bauma

The next generation of DAF construction trucks, sharing DNA with DAF’s International Trucks of the Year 2023 and 2022, are on show this month at Bauma in Germany

The XDC and XFC models have rolled into the exhibition grounds, promising new standards in efficiency, safety and driver comfort.

The models offer a range of features including:

  • 2, 3 and 4 axle configurations
  • Sturdy design with a robust grille and 3-piece steel bumper
  • Excellent approach angle and high ground clearance
  • An ideal basis for tippers, concrete mixers and hook lifts
  • A new standard in efficiency 
  • New PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines of up to 390 kW/530 hp
  • New TraXon automated gearbox as standard
  • New ‘Rock Free’ software function for improved performance off road 
  • New ‘ASR-Off’ capability 
  • Outstanding bodybuilder-friendliness

On the safety front, features include:

  • Ultra-low window belt line, Kerb View Window and DAF Vision Dashboard combined for maximum direct view 
  • DAF Digital Vision System and DAF Corner View for maximum indirect view
  • Excellent cab accessibility and unique adjustment ranges of seats and steering wheel

For the driver, the Day Cab comes as standard with extended interior space with a comfortable third seat or a large fridge available as ex-factory options.

DAF has developed a range of optimally pre-specified truck – superstructure combinations too which is helping to speed up the ordering process and allow the first completely built-up vehicles from this series to be ready for delivery in the first quarter of 2023.
