There will be upcoming night closures of the M1 Princes Motorway (Mount Ousley Road) and Picton Road due to work set to be carried out as part of the Mount Ousley interchange project.

Work will include removal of vegetation, installation of barriers and signs, piling work for signs and gantries, building site access gates, removal of signs and gantries, removal of guard rail, drainage work, relocation of utilities, installation of temporary street lighting, pavement work and line marking.
Work will be carried out over six nights on Sundays May 25 and June 1, Mondays May 26 and June 2 and Wednesdays May 28 and June 4, weather permitting.
Road closures will be in place on the M1 Princes Motorway between Bulli Tops and Memorial Drive, and Picton Road between the M1 Princes Motorway and Almond Street at Wilton.
Detours will be in place each night between 8pm and 4am. Picton Road eastbound will be closed from 7.30pm to 4am to ensure the M1 Princes Motorway is clear by 8pm.
Heavy vehicles will not be able to access Bulli Pass if they are over 19 metres long and over 50.5 tonnes and are advised to delay their journey.
Heavy vehicles over 19 metres or more than 50.5 tonnes will be given access at 12am (midnight) during the full closures on Monday May 26, Wednesday May 28, Monday June 2 and Wednesday June 4.
Motorists travelling between Wollongong and Bulli Tops will be detoured via Memorial Drive and Bulli Pass and should allow up to 15 minutes additional travel time.
Motorists travelling between Wollongong and the Hume Motorway will be detoured via Memorial Drive, Bulli Pass and Appin Road, and should allow up to 40 minutes additional travel time.
Light vehicles can also use Wilton Road (Broughton Pass) between Appin Road and Picton Road or the Illawarra Highway (Macquarie Pass).
Local access to Mount Ousley Road between the Princes Highway and Gowan Brae Avenue will be maintained.
