“No shoes allowed” in this immaculate 2001 Kenworth T404

The Tooradin Tractor Pull & Truck Show was a feast of flashy rigs, with every year and model accounted for.

Among the flurry was South East Organic Fertilisers stunningly well-maintained 2001 Kenworth T404.

Driven by Stewart Turner, the 23-year-old Kenworth doesn’t look a day over 10.

Bought second-hand, Stewart says the truck was in fighting condition when they purchased, needing only a new bull bar and paint job.

“It came in great shape,” he says.

Stewart takes a lot of pride in maintaining the rig to impeccable standards, even not allowing shoes in the cab.

“The truck is on farms all day every day, so you can imagine how dirty it can get,” he says.

The rig carts chicken waste and fertiliser all week across dusty farms and dirt roads, making the presentation at Tooradin that much more impressive.

“There’s a lot of work that goes into getting it ready. A lot of washing and polishing,” he says.

This is the first year the Kenworth has joined the aisles on display, with Stewart saying they received great feedback.

“I love coming to Tooradin. I try to come every year, with a truck or without.”

“It is always good vibes there, it’s fun.”

Stewart plans on taking the Kenworth T404 to the Alexandra Truck Ute & Rod Show in June, keen to put it on display again.
