Powerstar recall over potential steering fault

A steering column issue has led to Iveco Australia issuing a recall notice on all Powerstar trucks manufactured between May and November 2012.

The potential fault may occur when the tilt adjustable column is moved to the lowest position.

In this position the top of the intermediate steering shaft may foul with the upper steering shaft knuckle which may result in a loss of steering control.

The recall is reported to affect 74 Powerstar vehicles; Iveco will be contacting owners of these vehicles to organise for the fault to be rectified.
