Iveco Rebrand Bus Division

Iveco Irisbus has announced that they will henceforth be known simply as Iveco Bus.

The original Iveco Irisbus name came as a result of a merger of the bus and coach divisions of Fiat industrial, Renault and Iveco over a decade ago. This rebranding comes at a time when Iveco claims that it plans to expand its bus business to a global level.

An Iveco media release states that the name change aims to "reinforce the identity of this business together with the rest of the company’s international activities," as well as to promote "further development and recognition for the products of the bus range."

The media release also states that the focus of the brand is "Sustainability, Technology and Total Cost of Ownership."

This change of brand identity coincides with the launch of a new Euro IV citybus, which they will display in Switzerland from May 26-30.
