In Shape to Stay Ahead

The new Scania Streamline is the latest example of Scania’s search for improved efficiency from every corner of the vehicle.

Greater efficiency means improved uptime and thus increased profitability for operators.

Scania’s technicians have honed the already aero-efficient body shape to slice even more cleanly through the air, reducing drag and wind noise, while an upgraded, three-mode Opticruise automated gearchange system, optimised single-drive axle, low-drag gearbox, dual battery set-up and LED taillamps that could save up to 30 litres of fuel per year, add up to significant fuel saving potential. In fact Scania operators could make a 3-5% fuel saving just by switching to the new Scania Streamline.

The Scania Streamline enhancements will be available in both G-series and R-series ranges from the 3rd quarter of this year. The trucks are available with a selection of 6-cylinder engines, while the R-series is also available with a choice of V8 powerplants producing 500, 560, 620 and 730 hp.

If you seek powerful performance from an efficiency-optimised truck, ask your Scania dealer about the Scania Streamline, and stay ahead of the pack.

And for those with their eyes on far horizon, Scania is able to provide two 6-cylinder engines that are Euro 6 compliant, producing 450 and 490 hp respectively.
