Beaurepaires to launch new tyre service technology at show

Tyre giant updates service fleet and offers Australian-first cost portal

Tyre retailer Beaurepaires will unveil a number of commercial fleet tyre service improvements at the Brisbane Truck Show this week, to aid both industry operators and drivers.

As part of the company’s ‘Mobility’ project, it is upgrading approximately 200 service trucks across Australia with GPS tracking, service scheduling, wireless hotspots for real time telematics and on-board capabilities for tyre changing and balancing.

Tablet-based software will be introduced across the fleet to optimise the completion of key tasks, collect data and track tyre performance.

For industry operators, Beaurepaires is offering a ‘Cents Per Kilometre’ online tracking portal that provides tyre operating costs in real time.

“Beaurepaires’ series of innovations is a demonstration of the retail network’s commitment to quality products and services to support the nation’s trucking industry, including the implementation of its Australian first cost per kilometre reporting systems, offering transparency and cost efficiencies for businesses across the country in response to growing customer demand,” the company says.

New commercial tyre and retread products will be on offer at the show, including a number of fuel efficient tyre options, such as Goodyear tyres with FuelMax technology.

For show goers looking towards the future, there will be a range concept tyres on display. Featured at the Geneva Motor Show, the Goodyear tyres include Air Maintenance Technology, an innovation known as autonomous inflation control that optimises tyre pressure, reduces tread wear and lowers fuel costs.
