Penske finalises takeover of Transfreight North America

Penske Logistics now in control of the third-party logistics provider, Transfreight.

Penske Logistics has finalised its planned takeover of logistics firm Transfreight North America.

Penske reached a deal earlier this year with Mitsui – which owned Transfreight – to purchase the company.

It says it has now successfully completed the acquisition for an undisclosed sum.

“We’re pleased to have successfully completed the acquisition,” Penske Logistics president Marc Althen says.

“We look forward to working with the Transfreight team to implement a flawless integration for customers and associates.”

Penske says the acquisition adds new customers and associates as well as warehousing, cross-docking, and trucking capabilities to the Penske Logistics business portfolio.

Transfreight operates in 27 locations throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.
