Applications open for Cummins workshop scholarships

TMC 2015 scholarships up for grabs for three service technicians under 25 years old

Three young service technicians have the chance to win scholarships to attend the 2015 Paccar & Dealer Technical and Maintenance Conference in Melbourne thanks to the Australian Trucking Association and Cummins South Pacific.

Featuring technical sessions, compliance forums and product training workshops, TMC 2015 runs from October 26 to 28 and aims to provide attendees with information relevant to their businesses.

Applications for the scholarships are now open to any Australian business employing service technicians less than 25 years of age.

Businesses can only submit one entry and must describe in 25 words or fewer how their applicant would benefit from attending the event.

Cummins South Pacific manager – automotive sales and customer support Scott Alexander says the company is proud to support the event for the fourth time.

“Today’s young apprentices and technicians are the future of our industry,” Alexander says.

“Through the Cummins South Pacific scholarship, three young technicians will get the chance to learn from some of Australia’s most experienced and knowledgeable maintenance people in transport.

“This wealth of talent and experience is an opportunity that can’t be matched.”

The winners will receive a full delegate registration to TMC 2015, providing access to the Paccar Parts TMC Fun Night and the Castrol Vecton awards dinner, and hotel accommodation in Melbourne for two nights.

Entries to the scholarship close on August 10 at 5pmand can be made to ataevents@truck.net.au.
