Eaton collects Paccar Australia award for the second time in two years
Transmission supplier Eaton has been named Paccar Australia’s 2014 ‘Supplier of the Year’ for the second time running.
Producer of Kenworth trucks, DAF trucks and heavy vehicle parts, Paccar recognises the work of its suppliers at an annual awards event each year across three categories.
Collecting a category B award, given for custom made products specified for Kenworth trucks, Eaton’s local vehicle group general manager, Martin Toomey, says it is recognition for its alignment with Kenworth.
“To win this award back-to-back is an outstanding achievement and testament to both the high quality of our products and the team’s commitment to the close partnership we have with Kenworth,” he says.
Criteria for the award is based on quality, warranty, on-time delivery, engineering support, production support and cost containment.
Eaton says its success can be also be attributed to its reduction in order to delivery times and Roadranger Field Marketing team, who, it says, have assisted in new truck handovers and provided detailed driver training.
“These activities help to create a positive experience for the operators and are an important contributor to ensuring the preference of fleets and truck owners for the Eaton components that are fitted on Kenworth trucks,” the company says.
