MAN SE confirms Drees as new CEO

After 29 years with MAN, Pachta-Reyhofen is stepping down as MAN SE CEO

Truck manufacturer MAN SE has announced Joachim Drees will take over as its CEO from October 1 after Georg Pachta-Reyhofen resigned from the position.

Drees, a member of Volkswagen Truck and Bus Holding’s board of directors and manager of MAN Truck and Bus AG from April, will be joined by Jan-Henrik Lafrentz as the group’s new CFO.

The changes come after Pachta-Reyhofen resigned from his position following “the continued successful development of the MAN Group as an internationally positioned enterprise focusing on transport and energy generation and MAN’s integration into the Volkswagen Group, my most important assignments have meanwhile been completed”.

“This has prompted me to place my executive board responsibilities in someone else’s hands,” he says.

Pachta-Reyhofen joined the MAN Group in Vienna in 1986 after earning a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and has held the CEO position at MAN SE since the beginning of 2010.

During 2010 and 2012, he also held the CEO role at MAN Truck and Bus.

From October, the MAN SE executive board will feature Drees, Lafrentz and Josef Schelchshorn as chief human resources officer.
