Xplore launches XSLATE B10 rugged tablet

Durable tablet computer launched globally for industrial workers

 

Rugged tablet provider Xplore Technologies has unveiled the XSLATE B10, a 10.1-inch tablet computer designed for work in a variety of industries.

The tablet features eight ports, an IP65 rating, an Intel Core i5 or i7 vPro CPU, and front- and rear-facing cameras according to Xplore, suiting those in the mining, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing and transportation fields.

“After spending a day on the job with the XSLATE B10, you’ll understand why this truly mobile, fully featured tablet PC sets a new standard in ruggedness and connectivity,” Xplore Technologies’ president and COO Mark Holleran says.

The B10 includes a fingerprint reader for security; USB 3.0, microSD, microHDMI, microSIM, audio and RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports for connectivity; and the option for a swappable battery for extended usability.

The tablet also includes a Wacom pen, satellite GPS, xCapture Pro camera application, 4G LTE broadband, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

An integrated barcode scanner and a HDMI input port are available as options, as is a keyboard, vehicle docking station and kickstand.
