PacLease rolls out Truck4U-equipped rentals

Trimble’s fleet management solution now features in all PacLease vehicles

Paccar’s leasing arm, PacLease, has integrated Trimble’s Truck4U telematics offering across its Australian rental fleet.

The deal brings the Truck4U fixed on-board unit, and Trimble’s telematics solution, into PacLease trucks, providing the rental company with a new offering for its customers.

“We are excited to be partnering with PacLease Australia to deliver our telematics platform to its customers, providing them with increased fleet visibility and efficiency,” Trimble’s transport and logistics division, Asia Pacific and EMEA general manager Michel Van Maercke says.

PacLease customers will have the opportunity to monitor and manage their operations in real-time, the companies say, plus have the choice of additional Trimble fleet tools.

The optional extras include Over-the-Air track & trace, CAN-based Fleet Management System data and driving style analysis, and sensor monitoring.

“Paccar Leasing is at the forefront of the global transport industry and collaborating with Trimble reaffirms our commitment to investing in innovative solutions that help us provide our customers with a superior full-service offering that meets their specific transport needs,” PacLease Australia director Olen Hunter says.

Both PacLease and the Truck4U units are new to the market in 2015, with PacLease having launched in June, a few months after Trimble launched the fleet management solution alongside its Fleet XPS units.
