Citroen Berlingo vans recalled

Steering issues force Citroen vans to be recalled

Vehicle importer and distributor Sime Darby Motor Group has issued a recall for a number of Citroen Berlingo vans on the back of potential steering faults.

According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, “on the affected vehicles, the power steering pipes may crack over time, causing power steering fluid leaks and results in a lack of responsiveness in steering.”

This “reduced steering ability may pose an accident hazard,” the ACCC says.

The affected vehicles were sold nationally through Citroen dealers, the notice says, and owners will be notified by letter.

A VIN list has been available here.
