Detroit engine customers get dedicated app

Free app offers instructional information, record storage, dealer locations, and more

Detroit is looking to enhance its customers experience with a new mobile app aimed at its on-highway customers.

Penske Power Systems says the free app “provides a visually rich, interactive way for customers to get the latest from Detroit, with engine fault code and parked regeneration information, dealer location and GPS capability, and much more.”

Featuring engine and instructive information, Penske Power Systems on-highway director Kevin Dennis says the app will be an asset on the road.

“Detroit’s app gives DD15 owners and drivers vital information that they require out on the road, including truck stop locations, fatigue management information, and a specific menu to store all their important engine information for warranty records and more,” he says.

Penske says the included engine showcase and video series will hopefully “improve customer familiarisation with the DD15 and its components” and “up-to-date specials and promotional items” will be of interest to customers.

The manufacturer says record information is accessible both within mobile signal areas and outside.

For direct communication with Penske, app users have a ‘contact us’ function to email the support team for the answers to any enquires they have.

“Our customers work in an increasingly mobile industry,” Dennis says, “and the new app is a one-stop shop for all Detroit information.”

“It has been developed specifically for our customers.”

The app is available for iOS and Android by searching ‘Detroit Penske Power Systems’.
