TomTom launches app with Salesforce

Online fleet management solution has added Salesforce compatibility for CRM on the move

TomTom Telematics has added its Webfleet application to the Salesforce AppExchange marketplace.

Launching Webfleet for Sales Cloud, TomTom Telematics says the app is an integration of its telematics software and the Salesforce platform, providing a mobile version of the CRM system for customers on the road.

Salesforce and TomTom Telematics suggest the move will reduce costs and administration time thanks to the app’s automatic trip reporting, simplified appointment management, and insights into driver behaviour.

TomTom Telematics marketing vice president Taco van der Leij says the integration of “Webfleet with Salesforce… is a natural extension of our Logbook application, which automates mileage registration for expense claims.”

“Both help to make business administration easier for staff on the road, providing them with tools to improve their sales performance,” he says.

“Furthermore, by combining telematics and CRM, sales managers can gain visibility and insight into performance in the field.”

For managers, TomTom says the application allows client appointments to be assigned to employees and provides “dashboards that allow trip data to be compared with opportunities, leads and closed deals to analyse the effectiveness of each sales representative.”

Salesforce AppExchange product management vice president Ryan Ellis says the AppExchange marketplace, which features over 2,800 enterprise apps, will open a new range of customers to the TomTom Telematics brand.

“Companies are looking to transform the way they connect with customers, partners and employees to thrive in the age of the customer,” he says.

“By leveraging the power of the Salesforce App Cloud and integrating real-time telematics data with Sales Cloud, TomTom Telematics provides customers with exciting new opportunities to improve business performance through connected car technologies.”
