Small number of the utility vehicles have been recalled over seating issues
Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 11 Unimog model 437 trucks over issues with the seat mounting brackets.
According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, “the wall thickness of the seat mounting bracket on the affected vehicles is insufficient and a mechanical failure of the mounting bracket may occur.”
This means “the integrated seat belt may not be able to fully function,” the notice says.
Sold nationally, Mercedes-Benz says it will write to all affected customers to organise an appointment at any authorised Mercedes-Benz Unimog dealership to have the fault rectified at no cost.
