Hino launches Traq telematics system

New offering monitors driver and vehicle performance, fuel use and more

Hino Australia has expanded its Advantage business solution suite with the addition of the Hino Traq telematics system.

Providing real-time vehicle tracking and operational information to both drivers and fleet operators through an online portal, Hino Traq monitors a driver and vehicle’s on-road performance, fuel usage and in-vehicle safety.

Capable of detailing a view of a whole fleet’s performance, Hino Australia product strategy manager Daniel Petrovski says the solution will be a valuable tool for business operators.

“It is crucial to provide support for businesses in the future and our aim is to provide our customers with range of business-building benefits that will save them money and worry,” Petrovski says.

“Partnering with businesses to translate this valuable information into real-world analytics will assist in finding efficiencies within their operations.”

Designed for Hino trucks and buses as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) accessory, the solution’s insights into truck performance includes over revving and harsh breaking reports, truck location information, geo-fencing and driver alert button assist.

With a three year, unlimited kilometre warranty, the unit is now available from Hino after a two-year local trial.

Priced at $2745, including installation and a one-year data subscription package, Hino says its Traq offering is suitable for new and used trucks.
