Isuzu recalls tow bar package

Incorrect bolts fitted on N Series models may not be up to scratch

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has recalled its N Series Isuzu Tow Bar Package models over issues with the parts used.

According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, IAL believes incorrect bolts may have been used to install the Isuzu Tow Bar Package.

“If the incorrect bolts were used, the tow bar could break free from the chassis of the truck, causing serious injury,” the notice says.

Sold nationally between May 1, 2016 and October 24, 2016, IAL says affected owners should contact their nearest Isuzu truck dealership to organise a visual inspection and possibly a replacement of the tow bar bolts.

Those affected will feature the information label shown in the gallery above.
