TFM unveils ForceField

The new telematics solution targets fleet managers, providing vehicle tracking and insights

Toyota Fleet Management (TFM) has launched ForceField, a new telematics solution that it says will aid safe driving and fleet optimisation.

Offering real-time vehicle and driver tracking, the telematics system ships in four packages and provides fleet managers with a number of insights, such as ways to reduce fleet costs and vehicle accidents.

According to TFM general manager Ed Stanistreet, “ForceField helps manage the risks associated with running a vehicle fleet by providing the insights that lead to safer driving, fewer accidents and increased cost savings by making it clear how best to manage your fleet assets.”

Stanistreet says the four levels of service ensure “there’s a ForceField solution available to meet the fleet management needs of our customers.”

The solution works via locator units fitted to fleet vehicles, transmitting data through a wireless network to a manager’s desktop or mobile device.

“ForceField’s powerful monitoring tools can help manage and improve driver behaviour via alerts that highlight unsafe or harsh driving behaviour and identifying and monitoring drivers who would benefit from coaching,” Stanistreet says.

“Unsafe driving practices can generate significant costs in employee injuries, lost productivity, damage to company assets, fines and even litigation.”

Including integrated electronic logbooks, geofencing features, emergency response alerts, seatbelt and fatigue monitoring, trip analysis and driver identification, TFM says the ForceField solution can help fleets identify surplus vehicles and those that should be reallocated.

A customised solution is also available to meet specific requirements, TFM says.
