Dennis Eagle trucks recalled

Truck maker recalls 415 models over potential steering arm fail

Penske Commercial Vehicles has recalled its Dennis Eagle Elite 2 truck over steering issues.

According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, "the steering arm may fail under extreme operating conditions."

"If the steering arm fails under extreme operating conditions it may reduce vehicle control, potentially causing an accident or injury to other road users," the notice says.

Sold nationally, the owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by mail or email, Penske says, and they will be directed to contact their nearest authorised Dennis Eagle dealer to arrange an inspection and repair.

The full list of affected VINs is available here.
