Goulding takes on fleet sales head role at Isuzu

Taylor says the business will benefit from Goulding's experience Spaltman’s legacy

Isuzu Australia has found a replacement for former national fleet sales manager Les Spaltman in Steven Goulding.

Isuzu Australia COO Phil Taylor says with Goulding’s experience and knowledge and Spaltman’s legacy the company will reap benefits in a “busy” year.

“We’re extremely pleased to have someone of Steven’s experience and pedigree on board for what promises to be a very busy 2017,” Taylor says.

“Steven has a unique skill-set that we’ve actively sought and through the work of his predecessor, Les Spaltman, the ground has been prepared for what we hope will be a long and industrious relationship in this customer facing role.”

Spaltman moved to role of national sales manager last year.

Goulding has over 20 years’ executive-level experience in the automotive and capital equipment hire industries.

Before this, Goulding was GM of Jet Vac Equipment.

“We’ve kicked off 2017 superbly and we’re certainly ahead of where we were at the same time last year,” Goulding says.

“Its early stages but we’re tracking extremely well. We have specific marketing campaigns in train focusing on Isuzu’s Ready to Work units in 2017, so it’s exciting times ahead.”

“Having been on the other side of the fence, I’ve had experience with truck manufacturers and truck dealers coming to me, looking to sell,” he says.

“Right across the Isuzu team, whether it be at head office or throughout the dealer network, we’re establishing a clear focus on how we service and build our customer relationships.

“I see personal contact and strengthening relationships as top priorities for myself.”
