Close to 3,000 UD Quon & Condor trucks recalled

Possible air and moisture exposure can affect airbag inflation mechanism

UD’s Quon & Condor trucks manufactured between August 2011 and April 2016 have been recalled over driver airbag issue.

The recall affects a total of 2,990 trucks.

The recall notice states potential exposure to air and moisture “may cause the driver’s airbag to inflate abnormally” when activated.

“In the event of an accident, the airbag may deploy with a force different to that specified by the manufacturer, posing an injury risk to the vehicle occupants,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice states.

Volvo Group Australia will contact all affected owners by direct mail.
