Volvo in recall for small number of FL and FE

Spring leaf issue found in 15 trucks sparks note

A modest number of Volvos have been recalled over a problems related to the spring leaf.

They are FL/FE with rear axle installation variants RAD-A2R/RADT-A4 or FL/FE (3) with rear axle installation variants RAD-KR/RADT-KR, along with a few vehicles built with a certain S-note.

Affected vehicles were sold nationally between November 3, 2014 and January 13 this year.

“The screw joint holding the spring leaf attached to the spring anchorage might become loose, broken or lost during driving,” the recall notice reads.

“This could cause vehicle instability, posing an accident risk to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

Affected owners are advised they will be contacted by direct mail.

Owners should call their closest authorised Volvo Group Australia repairing dealer and book their vehicle in for an inspection as soon as possible.
