Western Star 50th anniversary event in Queensland

Show n Shine will be held at the Mt Cotton Training Centre in Cornubia on September 9

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Western Star Trucks, Penske Commercial Vehicles is hosting a show’n’shine event for all Western Star truck owners and drivers on September 9.

To be held at Mt Cotton Training Centre in Queensland, the festivities are an opportunity for the Western Star faithful to proudly display their machinery while enjoying a fun day out with family and friends, Penske says.

Prizes worth $50,000 will be awarded to participants with the trucks to be judged across several categories including trucks aged under five years, trucks aged five to 10 years, trucks over 10 years old, best fleet and best tipper.

“We are very excited to be hosting the show’n’Shine for Western Star owners and drivers,” Penske Commercial Vehicles MD Kevin Dennis says.

“The 50th anniversary milestone speaks volumes about the Western Star Trucks brand and the robust, efficient truck models that customers are so passionate about.

“The Show n Shine will be a great way for us to directly meet with owners and drivers and discuss what is important for them in a truck, and for them to show off their own trucks and see what other Western Star enthusiasts are up to.”

The event will run 11am-4pm on September 9 at the Mt Cotton Training Centre in Cornubia, Queensland.
