CNH Industrial has announced that it has agreed to the sale of its Truckline parts business, one of the largest retailers and distributors of aftermarket truck and trailer parts and accessories in Australia, supporting all European, North American and Japanese makes.

Truckline has 22 branches across Australia which are supported by distribution warehouses in Perth, Western Australia and Brisbane, Queensland.

Truckline has been acquired by Bapcor, an Australasian provider of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories, automotive equipment and services and CNH says this will ensure continuity of service for Australia’s commercial vehicle customers.

CNH says Iveco, its commercial vehicles brand, will continue to supply and serve its Australian customer base with original equipment parts and service through its aftermarket division.

In addition to the Truckline acquisition, Bapcor has signed an agreement to purchase Diesel Drive, which specialises in the sale of Japanese commercial truck spare parts.

Bapcor says the $48 million acquisition of these businesses is consistent with its strategic direction, including the continued expansion in its Japanese commercial truck group towards the target of 40 outlets.

Bapcor says its entry into heavy commercial trucks further complements the group.
