Pantechs and pig trailers experienced the biggest lifts in buyer interest in the first six months of 2020
Buyer enquiries on the almost 2,000 truck trailers for sale on the Bauer Media Group truck classifieds network surged more than 18 per cent in the first six months of this year – despite searches dipping a little more than 8 per cent, new data reveals.
Pantechs and pig trailers experienced the biggest YoY lifts in buyer interest, with enquiries up 2,000 per cent and 500 per cent respectively in the period January 1-June 30, 2020 (albeit off a very low base).
Tipper trailers and side tippers also attracted heightened attention, with enquiries rising 158 per cent and 67 per cent respectively; while enquiries on grain trailers jumped 133 per cent and logging trailers 100 per cent, reflecting the strength of the agricultural sector.
Other trailer types to garner greater buyer interest in the half-year included refrigerated trailers (+100 per cent), flat deck trailers (+76 per cent), A trailers (+50 per cent), and plant trailers (+50 per cent).
