Number of Isuzu N-series trucks in lights recall

Concern that inadvertent high beam poses a risk to other drivers

A minor but potentially dangerous driving light switch issue is the cause of a limited  Isuzu N-series recall.

The notice affects 21 2019-2020 model year trucks available between July 1, 2019 and March 31 2020.

The issue is that the driving light switch receives power when the lights are on, when it should only receive power when the lights are on high beam.

“This means that the driving lights may be on when the vehicle operator only intends side lights or low beam,” the notice reads.

“If the driving lights remain on this may negatively affect the night vision of other drivers.

“This may increase the risk of an accident and injury or death to other road users.

“Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest Isuzu dealer to arrange for inspection and repair, free of charge.”

More information can be gained from relevant dealers or phoning Isuzu Australia Customer Care on 1800 035 640.
