Destination DAF

Those looking to buy the all-new Euro 6 model range of trucks should look no further than Suttons Trucks Arncliffe, the home of DAF since 1998

‘Pure Excellence’, the benchmark for safety, fuel efficiency, driver comfort and exterior styling. Earlier this year, DAF Trucks Australia introduced the all-new Euro 6 model range, which saw a greater focus on safety features. These include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, advanced emergency braking and a lane departure warning system; which come in addition to the existing safety features, making DAF the optimal choice for safety in its class.

Fuel efficiency is the name of the game and the new DAF trucks have multiple systems to help reduce fuel consumption, meaning more money in your pocket. This has been achieved from a complete overhaul in the design of the Euro 6, starting with the all-new styling and aerodynamics, which has resulted in DAF Trucks Australia achieving the Good Design Award, best in its class for interior and exterior styling for the Euro 6 XF and CF models.

The CF range comes with an option of two engines (model dependent): the Paccar MX-11, a 10.8-litre six-cylinder multi-torque turbo diesel; and the Paccar MX-13; a 12.9-litre six-cylinder multi-torque turbo diesel. Both of these Paccar MX engines come in a variety of horsepower and torque outputs, from 370hp (276kW)/1,900Nm from the MX-11 all the way up to 530hp (395kW)/2,600Nm from the MX-13.

The efficiency doesn’t just stop with the engine. Fuel efficiency has been front of mind when designing the axles and transmission. The CF model range comes with the option of either a 12- or 16-speed ZF TraXon automated gearbox, as well as an option of the SR1347 or SR1360T ECAS axle with load monitoring (model dependent) – making the DAF Euro 6 the obvious choice in its class.

DAF Trucks Australia is a division of PACCAR Australia, which also comprises Kenworth Trucks, PACCAR Parts, PACCAR Financial (PacFin) and PacLease.

HOME TURF

If you are wondering where you can find the new DAF truck range, then look no further than Suttons Trucks Arncliffe, the home of DAF since 1998. DAF was introduced to the Sutton Motor Group by none other than the late Sir Frederick Sutton himself. Suttons Trucks Arncliffe has been family-owned since 1943 and is now owned and operated by Laurie Sutton and his two sons Craig and Ryan.

Suttons Trucks Arncliffe is located five minutes from Sydney’s International Airport (Kingsford Smith), and offers a wide range of trucking solutions, which makes Suttons Trucks the preferred truck dealership in Sydney.

The dealership’s PACCAR sales consultants includes Michael Maranda, who has a long history with Kenworth and DAF Trucks, and Glenn Davidson, the underdog, a new up and comer for DAF.

Mick has become a very familiar name within the industry, from driving Kenworth road trains to becoming the sales manager for Kenworth servicing both Sydney and Wollongong regions for Paccar. Glenn meanwhile has made a career in under-promising and over-delivering. In a game where reliability is key, Glenn is quickly making a name for himself as the new DAF sales manager.
