This section of road has been selected for safety fencing to reduce incidences of people crossing the six lanes of Highway away from safe traffic signal crossings, including local high school children.

For around 140 metres, the fencing will run along the median strip on both sides of the lights.

Installation will take place over five nightshifts through to March 24, 2025.

Road users are urged to exercise care and be aware there may be speed restrictions while work is being undertaken.

By March 25 the permanent fencing is expected to be fully installed.
