Truckies and community members are encouraged to come together and collect toys and essential items for families affected by domestic violence.
Hosted by the Mower Superstore & Bean Express, the Toy Run will take place on Saturday December 7, at 4pm Mower Supastore Brendale, with a 5pm departure to head off to Pelican Park Clontarf.
“During the holiday season, a small gesture can make a profound difference, bringing hope to those who need it most,” says event organiser Tom Charlton.
“We run Brisbane Truck Meets and for the last event of the year we thought how can we help out and give back to people in need?”
For the past year we’ve been throwing ideas around and fast forward a year, here it is, the Brisbane Truckies Toy Run where all toys can be donated to kids suffering from domestic violence.”
To spread the jolly, community members can bring a new, unwrapped toy for children impacted by domestic violence and bring their own kids along to check out some impressive rigs up close and even have a climb inside!
“Only 19 days remain until we come together for this incredible event, supporting the important cause of donating to families who have experienced domestic violence,” he says.
“Bring the family down to climb in these incredible rigs to show your support.”
If you’re looking for food, there’s a fish and chip shop across the road and a playground close by for the kid’s enjoyment.
