Due to variations in wiring harness routing in the affected models, there is a possibility that the wiring harness insulation may wear due to contact with the engine and chassis.
In the worst-case scenario, safety hazards may include the wiring to short circuit, resulting in electrical damage and a potential fire.
This may lead to serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users, as well as damage to property.
It is advised that vehicle owners should contact their local Hino dealer to arrange an appointment to have the repair undertaken, free of charge.
Vehicle Identification Numbers for the affected vehicles are provided here.
