From Sunday March 9 to Monday March 10 work will take place between 8pm to 4am and will involve installing temporary safety barriers on the Hume Motorway.
“We will aim to complete this work within one night shift, weather permitting,” says TfNSW.
“There will be temporary traffic changes in place, including a slow lane closure in the northbound direction and a reduced speed limit of 60 km/h during work hours.”
TfNSW advises drivers to allow an extra five minutes of travel time during these hours.
Outside of work hours, a temporary speed limit of 80 km/h will apply on the northbound lanes past the work site.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Oversize over mass vehicles that are more than four metres wide will be required to contact traffic controllers on site for assistance to travel through the work site.
Variable message boards will provide UHF channel and further information ahead of the scheduled work.
OSOM vehicle operators are advised to follow directions of traffic controllers as they assist them through the work site.
