UD Trucks Australia vice president Philippa Wood says this new range of trucks represents an exciting new chapter for UD Trucks Australia.
“I’m thrilled to see the range of transport solutions we can now offer our customers in the country grow even further,” she says.
“Our founder conceived a truck based on efficiency, durability and productivity and even after the passing of 90 years the UD Condor will continue to carry on that tradition in Australian cities and on Australian roads.”
The revamped truck is available in a 6×4 and 6×2 and 4×2 guise with wheelbases ranging from 3910mm to 6000mm (leaf suspension) and 3190mm to 6950mm (air suspension), the Condor will neatly fit into most applications.
Powered by a 300hp/981Nm Euro 6 engine and backed by an Allison MD3060 automatic transmission (PK) and the Allison MD3560 (PD and PW), the new range is not short on grunt.
As medium duty trucks are commonly found in urban environments, it will come as no surprise that safety is a top priority.
The new Condor range is equipped with the safety features we’ve come to expect from UD Trucks along with added features such as autonomous braking for vulnerable road users as well as other vehicles.
Other safety features include adaptive cruise control as standard equipment, adaptive high beam headlights, automatic windscreen wipers, traffic sign recognition and electronic vehicle stability control.
The new UD Condor range will go on sale in Q3 2025.
